Transplant

Transplants are plants that have been grown for 1 year and then lifted bareroot when dormant. The plants roots are trimmed and then the plant is replanted. The benefits of a transplant is that there is a much more robust and balanced root system. Transplants are very beneficial for varieties that tend to not develop a branched root systems such as Pyrus seedlings and are difficult to transplant or plants that are slow to start in the spring, such as Cercis or Zelkova seedlings
